On September 24-26, Sydney will be hosting a harp event that will focus on teaching and learning.This is the first time such an event will be held.It will focus on the needs of harp students, regardless of age, ability and style. Every student is sure to gain something from the Australian Harp Weekend. There are plenty of opportunites to play music with others, or just socialise with other harpies. Workshops and presentations will be given by experts in the field and each person has an opportunity to have a private lessons. We encourage you to browse the wares of our exhibitors and we welcome the exchange of information, ideas and stories with others. If you've ever wanted a lesson in classical, latin or jazz, or needed to know how to deal with the challenges that harpists face, or wanted to look for some music or even a new harp, it's all here, at Boronia Park. The deadline for the next NZHS journal is June 15th 2010. It's going to be another packed issue featuring news on our own NZHarp Fest in 2012, World Harp Congress 2011, more technique tips from international harpists, local news and profiles and whatever else comes our way before the deadline! |

What's the difference between registered user and member? |

The HSNZ has got four levels of access on its website. What do non-registered users get? The non-registered users have a viewing access to the HSNZ website. The left menu shows where they can navigate: - Home
- News
- Contact us
- Teachers and performers
- Harp retailers
- Event calendar
- Links
What do registered users get? Guests who have created a Web account online. Registered users have the same level of access to content as public users, with an additional menu on the left-hand side of the website, with the following items: - Your details
- Harp forum (where they can post messages)
- Noticeboard (where they can view current noticeboards)
- Logout
What do HSNZ members get? HSNZ members who have paid their annual subscription and have created a web account online. They will have additional items showing on the left-hand side menu: Your details Submit an article (where they can add news articles) Submit a web link (where they can add links to other websites) Harp forum (where they can post messages to other members) Add an event (where they can add events to the public calendar) Noticeboard (where they can add classisied ads) HSNZ files (where they can access the "journal archive" folder) Logout
What do committee members get? Committee members have got the same user menu as the HSNZ members, but with a greater access level. They are allowed to modify articles on the website, and can add events, web links without prior approval from the webmaster. They also have access on the HSNZ files to the "committee members only" folder. |

Just a reminder to NZHS members that throughout the year we receive newsletters and journals from The World Harp Congress (Review), UK Harp Association, Edinburgh Clarsach Society and Harp Societies from Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, West Australia, Victoria, and New South Wales. The electronic copies get sent on the forum, but if you would like to read any of the hard copies, please enquire at anna.d(at)xtra.co.nz |
