China Crossing VI invites audiences on a journey across musical and cultural landscapes, where China–New Zealand sounds and traditions meet for an afternoon of contemporary and traditional Chinese music.
This special concert features the live concert world premiere of Cloud Drama by Chinese New Zealand composer Gao Ping, bringing together leading musicians from Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond in a rich blend of Chinese and Western instruments. Performers include Lan Weiwei (pipa), Natalia Mann (harp), Gabriela Glapska (piano) and Hsuan-Chen Lin (ruan).
